Back in 2009, the credit crunch hit the recruitment industry hard and with companies less willing to spend on recruitment agency fees, this represented the point where the market changed distinctly leading to the rise of the 'internal recruiter'. Reacting positively to this new environment, EmptyLemon; an anagram of employment was intentionally born on Pancake Day 2010. The primary aim being to provide an accessible platform that would work alongside internal recruiters; to promote their corporate brand and detail why jobseekers may be attracted to work for them.
